Feedback From Into The Light Workshop Saturday 27th April 2019

We had a great workshop on Saturday 27th April, this one was entitled:
“Thinking Out Loud! Breaking The Silence Around Shame, Sex, Anger, and Betrayal After Sexual Abuse”

It was a fantastic group of people who attended – Survivors and also professionals and a lot of people who were attending came in both capacities.

We had some great discussions around anger, shame, grounding, flashbacks and betrayal. We also looked at how the media portrays sex and sexuality, sex education and the impact of abuse on our sexuality and ways to move forward in the future.

Everyone who came said that the workshop met (and in some cases exceeded) their expectations.

We received some lovely feedback as well including:

“I just wanted to say how nice you and the other facilitators made the day, you were all so good at making it feel relaxed and open, non threatening and approachable. I really appreciated that atmosphere….thank you for the hand outs, they were so detailed and useful and it was great to have them to take away”.

“Thank you for putting on such a wonderful workshop delivered with kindness and thought”.

“It was so much more than I expected! I feel challenged and energized to look at me!”

Thank you to Cheryl, Kasia, Sophie, Leasa and Michelle – the fantastic team who worked so hard to make it such a success.

Our Next Workshop is on Saturday 2nd November contact us at info@intothelight.org.uk for more information.

We have lots of subsidised places and would love to see you there.
