Shame Can Feel Heavy – But It Was Never Yours To Carry   Recently updated !

Sadly, many survivors of sexual abuse carry deep feelings of shame because of what was done to them. Often, this shame is internalised, even though it belongs to the abuser — not the survivor.

Talking about abuse and its impact can be one way to begin lifting that shame. But we know this can also be one of the hardest steps to take.

At Into The Light, we aim to create safe, supportive spaces where people can share their experiences, break the silence, and begin to release the weight of shame. 🌿

If you’re able, try taking a small step.
Confide in someone you trust.
You don’t have to carry this alone.

Breaking isolation can lead to silence lifting, shame easing, and a more confident view of yourself. 💛
